
In March Alexandra Loske gave a fascinating talk about women and the moon, including an overlooked film by Fritz Lang, Woman in the Moon. Musician and bookseller Pete Fij shared the many things he’d found in books over the past 20 years, from letters and photos to a postcard sent by a conscript to his loved one in 1916. And Rory Clark talked about the colourful history of the word ‘fuck’, from the Lady Chatterley’s Lover trials of the 1960s to the present, where novelty diaries with titles like ‘Fuck Fuckity Fucky’ are now considered appropriate gifts for loved ones or teenage offspring!
