In June author Lambros Fatsis gave a talk on the policing of black music from Calypso to Drill; animation producer Ceri Barnes talked about the importance of keeping human imagination and graft at the heart of creativity; and George Butcher shared his interest in the world’s first living cyborg and gave a practical demonstration on what extreme colour blindness is like, using a sodium street light and a few bags of jelly beans.
For our 22nd anniversary we welcome back author Bella Pollen (Kindred of the Kibbo Kift/Nudism in a Cold Climate), founding member of the Comedy Store Players Kit Hardy (aka Kit Hollerbach) and a new one from your host.
There’ll be music from Jane Bom-Bane and Eliza Skelton as always and a few anniversary surprises.
Please feel free to email and share any favourite talks/stories of the Catalyst Club from the past two decades that I could share on the night.
