In March we had a talk from Serena Mitchell about a psychic, Sussex’s only female saint and a sheela-na-gig, all connected to the same church near Seaford; I gave a talk about one of my favourite artists, Ivor Cutler, and Iranian-born singer Avije gave a powerful talk about the oppression of women in Iran, shared with us her own history and treated us to her amazing voice at the end.

We”ll be back on the second Thursday in April with actor Ross Gurney Randall, photographer Colleen Slater and Hastings’ Johanna Wood (who in 2023, some will remember, gave a talk on the highs and lows of running an all-female swing band.)
