We had a blast at our 20th anniversary in July! I gave a long talk on the history of the Catalyst Club while Anthony Grant revealed the amazing story of how he persuaded dozens of famous actors, from John Geilgud to Joanna Lumley, to be photographed in his bedroom when he was still at college. Our special guest performer for the night was Jane Bom-Bane who enchanted and delighted as only she can, with her songs, words and mechanical hats.
We’ll be taking a break over August and returning to the Nightingale Rooms (for the time being) in September.
Our next event is Sept 12th with guests Nick Sayers, musician Pete Fij and linguist Lynne Murphy (with a new talk that is distinctly off-topic).
