In February Chris Hogg shared the truly astonishing story of how a Sheffield vicar introduced rave to his congregation and created a huge cult in the city. Julie Coultas told us about a pilgrimage by horse she took in the mid 1970s across England from Brighton to New Brighton. And linguist Lynne Murphy delved into the history of Wordle and shared a few secrets for the addicts amongst us.
We also said goodbye to the Latest Music Bar (for the time being, that is) and are now running events at Horatio’s Bar at the end of the pier. Sea views guaranteed!
For March we have folklorist Serena Mitchell, a new one from me and Iranian-born musician AVIJÉ. We’ll also be showing a few old Brighton short films to get us in the mood!
