For May I’m delighted to welcome back two guests who have given such brilliant talks for us in the past. Charlotte Ellis (often seen knitting during our Zoom Catalyst Clubs over the last year) has spoken about ‘The Terrible Knitters of Dent’ and in 2015 shared her tips for overcoming anxieties about public speaking on our BBC Radio 4 Archive Hour special with the words, ‘three pints of cider hits the sweet spot’. She returns with another entertaining and illuminating talk.
Dan Mudford has spoken for us about New Zealand based artist Len Lye and the avant-garde composer John Cage and how his profound knowledge of mushrooms made him the unlikely winner on an Italian game show in the 1950s and helped fund his career.
Rich Tribe is a Catalyst newbie but his talk isn’t. His unlikely topic was first chosen by a guest in 2006. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone watching was there that night too!
