In September Dr Alastair Goode revealed the curious history of German Fat Lava vases (Al has over 500), Bristol’s Libby Bowles gave a passionate talk about the woeful state of our oceans and we heard a heartfelt tale of artistry and neighbourliness during lockdown from Nick Sayers.
We return in October with Dan Mudford (who many will remember for his terrific John Cage and mushrooms talk) and Cath Newell (who gave a brilliant talk called Autism, a Love Story many years ago). Both are firm favourites of mine.
Our third speaker is Rev. Colin Chambers, chaplain at Robben Island prison in South Africa for 8 years of Nelson Mandela’s long incarceration. As it’s the Catalyst Club I really can’t tell you what his topic is going to be about. Ahem!
In other news we are returning to the Latest Music Bar. Numbers are restricted to 30 for this event and – depending on Covid-related restrictions – we’ll return to doing these monthly. This is running at the Latest Music Bar on Oct 15th. See other post for details.
